He graduated from Kunming Medical University (formerly Kunming Medical College) in 1982 and furthered his training in pediatric internal medicine, pediatric cardiology catheterization, and ICU at Xinhua Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Second Medical University. He served as a member of the Yunnan Emergency Medicine Committee. In 2005, he was awarded the title of Senior Teacher by Kunming Medical College. Since 2008, he has been involved in medical accident appraisal for the Kunming Medical Association. In 2009, he was appointed as a member of the Second Medical Accident Appraisal Expert Database of Kunming Medical Association and as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Kunming Medical College. He received the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in 2003 and 2005, and the Second Prize in 2008. He has independently and collaboratively published over 10 papers. He has participated in pediatric emergency medicine training and lectures, served as an instructor for cardiopulmonary resuscitation training courses, and was responsible for in-hospital basic medical training and assessment.
