Dr. Xu is the Director of Pediatrics at Kunming Tongren Hospital, an Adjunct Associate Professor at Kunming Medical College, and former Director of Pediatrics at the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Kunming General Hospital (Hospital 43). She graduated from the Third Military Medical University in 1985 and was assigned to the Pediatric Department of the 920th Hospital of the PLA Joint Logistics Support Force (formerly Chengdu Military Region Kunming General Hospital, Hospital 43) the same year, engaging in clinical work for over 30 years. She became a Chief Resident in 1993, Deputy Director of Pediatrics in 1997, Associate Chief Physician in 2000, and Director of Pediatrics in 2003.
She holds numerous positions, including member of the National Pediatric Committee of the PLA, Deputy Director of the Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Pediatrics Committee of the Chengdu Military Region, member of the Pediatric Rescue Committee of the China Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine, Deputy Director of the Pediatric Branch of the Yunnan Physician Association, Deputy Director of the Neonatologist Branch of the Yunnan Physician Association, Standing Committee Member of the Pediatric Branch of the Yunnan Medical Association, and member of the Genetics Branch of the Yunnan Medical Association.
